La settimana di studio “Biologia e medicina” organizzata da Scienza e gioventù è tornata a svolgersi in primavera, dopo il rinvio in inverno della scorsa edizione a causa della pandemia. Dal 13 al 17 marzo 2023, 37 giovani provenienti da 12 diversi cantoni hanno così potuto scoprire l’appassionante mondo della ricerca in biologia e in medicina.
Sotto la competente guida di esperte ed esperti delle Università di Berna, Ginevra e Zurigo e del Politecnico Federale di Losanna (EPFL) i partecipanti hanno lavorato su 20 progetti riguardanti un ampio spettro di argomenti: dall’analisi di antigeni virali tramite microscopia elettronica, passando per lo sviluppo del cervello nei lamantini, fino all’indagine sulla produzione di protezione solare da parte delle piante. I giovani ricercatori hanno lavorato con grande motivazione e concentrazione e hanno particolarmente apprezzato l’ambiente piacevole creatosi durante la settimana.
Settimane di studio per i giovani
La proposta è indirizzata a giovani provenienti dalla Svizzera o dal Principato del Lichtenstein, di età compresa tra i 16 e i 20 anni, che frequentano una scuola secondaria II o un istituto di formazione professionale.
A conclusione di un’intensa campagna di indagini, i progetti svolti sono stati illustrati al pubblico presso l’EPFL di Losanna con brevi presentazioni e una poster session.
