Review | Studienwoche Fascinating Informatics 2020

Die Studienwoche «Fascinating Informatics» fand dieses Jahr zwischen dem 6.-11. September 2020 statt. Neben den Universitäten Basel und Bern, der FHNW Brugg-Windisch und der USI Lugano nahm dieses Jahr das erste Mal auch die SBB als Industriepartner teil. Die 21 motivierten Schülerinnen und Schüler erhielten die Möglichkeit sich während einer Woche 10 Projekten zu widmen, um in die faszinierende Welt der Informatik eintauchen zu können. Trotz der aufgrund des Coronavirus geltenden Maskenpflicht und gewissen Einschränkungen hatten die Schülerinnen und Schüler viel Spass am Arbeiten in den Forschungsgruppen. Von den vor Ort aktiven Tutoren wurden spannende Projekte angeboten wie die live Entwicklung eines Computerspiels, die Realisierung eines «Internet of Things»-Bewässerungssystems für Topfpflanzen oder die Entwicklung eines «Intelligent Guardian», eines Wächters, welcher automatisch Objekte erkennt.
